Support our Patroon Land Farm
As we plant our first crops for our 20th year at our farm, we are making strategic investments to expand our capacity even further. This includes opening additional acreage, upgrading equipment, and extending the growing season with new greenhouses and high tunnels. We also plan to make improvements to the farm to support our increasing number of volunteers who roll up their sleeves and, quite literally, get their hands dirty, so that we can provide even more fresh and nutritious food throughout the year.

Help us continue nourishing our neighbors, one crop at a time.
About the Farm
Since 2006, the Regional Food Bank has operated a 162-acre farm in Albany County, harvested solely by our staff and volunteers, to provide fresh and nutritious produce throughout the growing season. Each year, 100% of the farm’s harvest comes to the Food Bank to distribute to the more than 1,000 partner agencies and programs we serve across our 23-county service area. We now produce over 50 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs right here in our own backyard. What’s grown at our farm is often distributed the next day, ensuring that healthy food reaches our neighbors who need it most as quickly as possible. Direct access to fresh local produce supports our broader effort to provide our partner pantries and neighbors in need with balanced options; in fact, 89% of the nearly 54 million pounds of food we distribute annually consists of nutritious staples.
